Model agencies around the world move at a frantic pace with teams of scouts working round the globe sourcing new models – “New Faces” – every day. Powerhouse model management agencies have a proven track record and the power to propel new faces into stardom with their combination of scouting, development, and business regimens.

Shooting runway is tough for a fashion photographer – we cannot control the lighting, pose or composition of the image. Some even compare it as close to sports photography.
After the jump, some of my runway work.
Fresh from her Playboy centerfold this summer in the Polish edition of the magazine, Aga Lea Jaworska has just been signed to Mega Model Management in Miami.
Having worked from her home in Poland these last years, Aga is starting a new life here in South Beach. Her first international agency signing also signals a new phase of her modeling career – with new demands and skills to gain.
In this post a few outtakes from our shoot here on Miami Beach, (barely) safe for work.
In this post I have a few outtake images from an editorial photoset I shot on Miami Beach.
The brilliant colors of Brazil – yellow, green, blue – are a great contrast for the iconic beaches and deco scenes on cool South Beach.
I spend quite a bit of time in Brasil, mostly in Rio de Janeiro – and the comparisons between South Beach and the beaches of Rio are striking. Miami is smaller than Rio – but both cities are dominated by the culture of the beach.

These images are outtakes from an editorial photoset we shot on Miami-South Beach. Our brief was to shoot on the beach in a more stylized style.
How to achieve more fashion than glam with the über sexy Victoria’s Secret discovery and now Elite model Courtney O’Connor put my production team to the test.
Shooting swim and resort wear on the rocks is definitely not comfortable for the model, but the backdrop offers a nice contrast and change from the usual here in South Beach.

So, I got a call from Italy asking to set up a session for me to photograph Italian model, actress (La Pupa e il Secchione), and two-time Playboy centerfold (in the Italia and Singapore editions) Francesca Lukasik. It did not take very much deliberation to decide to make some time for this. Francesca comes from nearby Venice in the Veneto region of Italy, and is very well known in the country not only for her glamour modeling and television work but also for her passionate support of Italian football (soccer) – in particular the AC Milano club, but also her endorsements by companies such as Ducati (motorbikes).

Noémie Tremblay is a WBFF pro card competitor from Québec City in Canada. She came down to Miami-South Beach for some editorial fitness work with me, along with some glamour modeling photosets. It was refreshing to do a photoshoot in Miami tout en douceur française (to do a photoshoot in Miami in French).
With so much attention paid to their bodies, fitness models have always been among the best glamour models, and Noémie is truly a pro in the genre. Extraordinary hair and makeup work by Lily Estay from Toronto joining the local Miami-South Beach team for the shoot as well.

Professional fitness model Johanna Sambucini (represented by Wilhelmina in New York City) came to Miami for the Fitness Universe competitions as well as some studio work.
We had to shoot some fitness photosets (a few outtakes are already posted on this blog) but also do some serious glamour work. We worked both in-studio as well as on-location – the above panoramic shot is at ‘the lagoon’ – a favorite secluded place to shoot.
Fitness models do some of the best glamour modeling work, and Johanna delivered on all counts. She also won the Model Universe section of the 2011 Fitness Universe competitions in while she was here for her photoshoots in Miami. In January 2012, Johanna won the Miss New York USA 2012 competition.

These are outtakes from an editorial photoset for V magazine. Our goal was to give the feeling of a fairy in the middle of a forest deep in the night. Complex lighting, fantastic makeup, hair and wardrobe, and wonderful talent all came together to produce these ethereal images.

This post is just a quick summary of some of my historical commercial type images and work. Just a placeholder as I am moving my portfolio website.

Well, with models Brian Holowicki and the lovely Nema McKinzie having flown in from around the USA for a few days to shoot with me… I had to get busy!
With this talent to photograph I decided to pull together a team to take advantage of options and get an editorial photoset put together.
Woke up my neighbor Christian Molina early in the morning, then got Joey Rolon (another neighbor here on South Beach) onto the team as well. Christian is one of Miami’s top makeup and hair stylists and Joey is one of Miami’s own celebrity wardrobe stylists, especially with his atelier “Funky Sexy Couture”. With so much talent on-set and all of us free to do anything we wanted, well, we kind of went all the way.
As there were lots of Japanese themed activities going on in South Beach with the various Miami based Japanese organizations, everyone on the creative team had Japan on their minds. So we decided to ramp up, play along with the Tokyo fashion mood and put together a Harajuku themed fashion shoot.
You can have a look at some results from a long day of work, both in-studio and on-location here in Miami-South Beach.

With my recent move to Miami, I have had to add Fitness as a genre to my portfolio.
Fortunately, I met Sofia Venanzetti – an Italian fitness expert from Milano in my first days in the city. Already published in fitness and health magazines such as Oxygen, we did a lot of work together to start to build my credentials in the fitness area.
We decided to take advantage of a beautiful day and shoot a fitness series on Government Cut – the waterway where the cruise ships arrive and depart from the port of Miami.

I had to shoot an editorial photoset and chose this beach in Miami as the location. It was used extensively in the film “Wild Things”, and seems to have such grand and masculine vistas to the horizon that I thought it was appropriate for this photoset. The model, Christian Vranas, came over from Greece for the shoot.
