OyOy’s Casting List – Project Listings for Freelance/Direct Bookings

For certain projects freelance / direct book models can be used, this post on our blog site is where these are maintained.  We offer a number of lower cost options to manufacturers, emerging designers, boutique designers and ateliers in need of quality images for their promotion and sales activities, plus editorial.

If you are looking to set up a Test Shoot with OyOy please go here.

A way to help keep up to date with new castings is to click ‘Sign Me Up” to the right to be notified of new posts, and then scroll down to the bottom of this post, and check the two boxes:  Notify me of new posts by Email, Notify me of follow-up comments by Email.  We also notify every now and then by Email (max once a month, but really only about 6 times a year), you can sign up at this link.

  • Feb-March 2013 OyOy is heavily booked for lookbook shoots related to designers deciding their lines during Fashion Weeks.  If you will be in Miami-South Beach during February and would be available for relatively informl lookbook shoots please just use the general casting option in the form below, and be sure to specify that you are ‘in town’ in South Beach during the Month of February 2013.

See the submission form and general booking information below.

Please fill in the information on this form to apply for a specific project or shoot.

We look forward to learning of your skills and talents!

And no matter what, Good Luck!

Please take some time and fill in this form completely.  We just don’t have time to send messages back and forth to get your details, so take a moment and get all this information together and submitted.

If you are applying for a casting, it is important to reply completely to each question on the casting sheet.  If your responses are incomplete, your submission is simply deleted before showing to the casting team which normally includes our client, the art director.

When referencing your online portfolio, carefully enter a link we can just click on to see your book.  Be sure that the link does not require a login or password (for example, do NOT use FaceBook – the casting team cannot see it because it requires a login). Best to link are online portfolio sites – we are on Modelwire (for most pro models), Model Management, but the freelance sites are good as well: Model Mayhem, BDM, Modelwirenetwork, Model Management, etc.  The casting team rarely looks at portfolios on sites that take a lot of time to wade through like, facebook, model personal promo sites, etc.

General requirements for freelance or direct bookings:

Location: Unless otherwise indicated in a casting, the projects are situated or at least start in Miami-South Beach.  Even if travel is involved, the work and preparation will normally begin and end in South Beach.  For these shoots it is also preferred to to work with talent local to Miami – South Beach.

Ethnicity: Unless otherwise indicated in a casting, any ethnicity is considered

Experience: You need to either be [1] a model able to self or direct book at a top tier agency  that we have access to portfolios for review or on Modelwire; or [2]a freelancer that has already tested with me.  If the project has a Casting Call (quite rare because of the expense), any model can be considered.  It is really preferred that you are already ‘known’ to us.

Figure/Build: Unless otherwise indicated in a casting, figure/physique will be very slender. Size preferences Women 00-0-2 and around 5’10”, Men 28-32″ waist and around 6’0″.

Nudity: Most of our clients are either from or targeting the European market, so European advertising standards apply which are not as conservative as in the USA.  While perhaps not used in any particular shoot, topless for women and implied for men and women is a required option for any shoot.

Payment: made by the client on the day of the shoot.

Casting Process: Submissions are reviewed by the casting team for the project (normally the client, their art director or ad agency, plus OyOy).

Notification: Unfortunately, only those selected can be notified.  We are working on a better process – no one likes uncertainty – but at the moment we do not have the ability to notify everyone.  Once a casting closes and you have not been contacted, then you can be certain that you were not selected – you can watch this page for closings.

system errors, trying to submit for project but keep getting “page not found” message.

    January 8, 2012 at 09:43

    • Almost always problems are when people are trying to use a phone on the forms (rather than a computer).

Good luck and we hope to see you soon on a project or shoot!
